I am a proud Kansas Citian with two wonderful kids and a passion for education. I have been working in the reproductive justice sphere for a while now with a dual B.A. in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies and Spanish. I have trained in birth, postpartum, bereavement, and advanced doula support as well as new parent and childbirth education. I am currently the Secretary for the Doulas of Greater Kansas City and Serve on the diversity, inclusion, and equity task force for CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association). I am a community ambassador for Planned Parenthood and a member of the United Nations Association of Greater Kansas City – Women’s committee, as well as a member of the metro Kansas City’s Mother & Child Health Coalition.
What it means to have a successful, positive birth varies with every family. As a doula and educator, I love helping clients explore their own beliefs about birth and discover what they really hope for in their own experience. We work together to create an environment that will leave them feeling connected to their journey, to their partners, and to baby. At each birth, regardless of any plan changes made along the way, there is a special opportunity to bring a new life and a new identity into a space that is filled with compassion, love, and respect.

AS YOUR DOULA
As your birth doula, I hold the space for you and your loved ones, making sure that your experience leaves you feeling strong, comforted, and connected. My clients have described my doula style as a quiet and nurturing force, providing encouragement and peace and grounding them in their birth experience.
Everyone has the right to a safe, healthy, satisfying birth
As a postpartum doula, I help to ease the transition into a new family structure. Parents may not always know what support they need as they start a new life with baby, only that they wish they had someone there to answer questions, be an extra set of hands, or make them a pot of coffee in the morning. I provide evidence-based information, share tips and tricks for how to manage questions or concerns that arise and support new parents through the emotional journey of newborn care. I act as a resource for each member, making sure that families can move forward smoothly and confidently in their recovery and bonding with baby.
I support all births and families: VBAC, cesareans, multiples, medicated births, unmedicated births, couples, LGBTQIA families, co-parents, adoptive parents, single parents, teens, etc...
